British Embassy in the Netherlands
Much like other Embassies and Consulates it is always best to email them before you visit their offices. Issues such as a visa application, replacement of passport or birth registration always needs additional paperwork. If you need consular assistance such as in the event of an accident then call the Embassy. See also the British Consulate in the Netherlands.
In case you lose your passport while in the country, it’s essential to inform the local police and obtain a case number which will be necessary for the Embassy to issue a temporary travel document or passport. Additionally, you may find information on applying for or renew a British passport on this website. This is the British Embassy Netherlands.
If you gave birth, you’ll need to provide the original documents from the local government that have been translated and certified. To arrange an appointment with the Embassy, contact them for further details, including requirements beyond your ID card or passport for you and your wife.
If you’re planning to get married, you’ll require a letter of affirmation to certify your single status, which will be issued to you within a few days. This letter will need to be authenticated by the local government and translated and certified.
